Taiwan  - U.S. citizens do not require visa to enter Taiwan for tourist or business purposes for a maximum stay of 30 days (no extension permitted). U.S. Passport must have at least six months remaining validity and traveler must hold confirmed ticket (and valid visa, if applicable) to next destination country and must have no record of law violation.  For over 30 days stay, visa is required.
 

Visa Requirements for U.S. Citizens

 TOURIST

• Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page)  – photocopy is not acceptable

• One Visa Application Form completed and signed. Application on thermal fax paper is not accepted. The application form must have original signature.

• Two Passport Type Photographs

• Computer generated flight itinerary from the travel agent or copy of roundtrip airline ticket

• Letter explaining purpose of trip and plans for the stay in Taiwan

• Supporting employment letter verifying purpose of traveler's visit (vacation)

• Service Order Form

 BUSINESS

• Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page)  – photocopy is not acceptable

• One Visa Application Form completed and signed. Application on thermal fax paper is not accepted. The application form must have original signature.

• Two Passport type photograph
